Too busy to be Fabulous?

Not I. There is always time to be fabulous!

I may be a day late and a dollar short, but I am finally getting it done.

I was tagged by the lovely Southbay Girl, the vivacious AKAAlice, and the unstoppable Iron "GeekGirl" Misty.

The rules are to list 5 things I am currently addicted to.

1. Running: If you told me even two years ago that I would type such a thing I would have laughed until I coughed up a partially chewed Twinkie.

2. Coffee: This isn't so much an addiction as a physiologic need. I am not a coffee snob. I prefer good coffee, but I will drink anything resembling coffee. I am like your crazy ass aunt Ida, I will heat up yesterday's coffee if there is no other option. Back in the 'broke ass' days, I have reused coffee grinds. More than once. As I have said, it is a need not a want.

3. Logging my workouts on BuckeyeOutdoors.com I will still be panting from my run, but I will fire up the computer to log my miles and time. The letters and numbers are coming off my keyboard from my sweating fingers furiously typing. I know, I know it is not very 'Zen running' or 'exercise for the pure joy of exercise', but I like to see the numbers. Sue me.

4. Talking to or for animals I see on the trail: It regularly embarrasses my LA Run Buddy, but I am incapable of not saying something when I see dogs/feral cats/birds/squirrels/etc. on the trail. She does, however, prefer I talk to them, as in "Hi short stuff!" when I see a little dachshund trot by, but when I talk for the roly poly pug I see on the bike trail and say things like "I am short and fat! Look how cute I am!" it will cause her to dive in the bushes to avoid being seen with me.

5. Really, really bad reality TV: Possibly redundant. Is there really good, or even partially bad reality TV?

Here are the shows that I know the time and airing of and WILL try to adjust my schedule to be home to watch:

DietTribe (New show on Lifetime. I LOVE it! Season finale 10pm on Monday! Sad that I know that.)

Celebrity Fit Club (Has beens that have gotten fat and are now being forced to exercsie by an ex-marine?! You CAN NOT buy that type of entertainment! I am anxiously awaiting the new season)

Celebrity Rehab (The level to which this show makes me happy is wrong. Just wrong. In 'my circle' this is WAY uncool, but I can't help myself ) and the current spin off Sober House (Can you fucking believe there was a spin off?! Double the awesomeness!)

In the interest in total disclosure I will include a partial list of the moronic shows I have watched at least 3 full episodes of and will watch if I come across flipping channels:

The Real Housewives of Orange County (It makes me feel smart and deep. Although I am certain Jessica Simpson watches it for the same reason)

Miami Ink (I tune into be routinely amazed/horrified/amused by what idiots will have permanently drawn on large, visible parts of their body. I actually like tattoos, but DA-AAMN some of that shit is WAY ugly)

LA Ink (Same reason as above except, I think the girl is hotter than the guys of Miami Ink)

And drum roll..... the
coup de grĂ¢ce...

Confessions of a Teen Idol (I know you were wondering who the hell watches this shit. Your kids' high school biology teacher, that's who. Reassuring for the future of America, no?)

Tell me you have a Tivo? Because the reality tv alone could consume my whole day.

I like that you caught up on the Tag. I have two tags to catch up on myself. Can you guess who is gonna get tagged? ;)

You talk about Reality TV like it is a bad thing? Love that Celebrity Rehab-it is the worst!

Normally I am opposed to watching reality t.v. (the Bachelor makes me want to shoot myself) but watching the Real Housewives of Orange County is my guilty pleasure. I can see how reality t.v. can affect your subconscious though because I always feel the urge to go get a manicure or go shopping afterward....

Definitely need my coffee in the mornings and, like you, almost anything will do. But not having cable TV, I seldom watch TV. I do, however, have a Netflix membership and I have to admit I have really baaaaad taste in movies. I don't know if I could even write them down!

I just about choked on my mini tootsie rolls reading this one! Damn, we have got to run together sometime! I thought I was the only one who talked to the animals while out running! The keeping track of the mileage....I will be checking out that site for sure....I keep my numbers on my sidebar and I'd probably race ya to a computer after our run to get to putting the info in first! Next...I too love reality and have seen most of the shows you mentioned, my husband is way more addicted to all of those than I...I can't live without LA Ink, it is my dream to have Kat tattoo me....anywhere! I love the pain of getting a tattoo...is that wrong??!!

I found your blog through the Athena Diaries and I absolutely love it. Thanks for the laughs. And those trashy reality shows totally make the cardio time fly by at the gym... love 'em (even watching Tobie from Baywatch).

I can totally understand numbers 1-4 but for the life of me I do not grok reality TV. It is PAINFUL for me to have to be somewhere it is playing. I have left nail and hair appointments and rescheduled rather than be trapped where one of those shows is on in the background! (Although - I have to admit that while I don't watch it, I know someone who has been on Miami Ink. Oh wait - so do you! Lizichka was featured once. Didn't even watch that episode - such a bad friend I am!) Hope all is well in teaching world!

Running and coffee/tea definitely top my list as well...

Sad that since I haven't had tv in quite some time, I have no idea about any of the shows you mentioned.

Alright, you're on your own with the coffee and the Dr Doolittle moments, but I *KNEW* we had lots in common . . . is there any other kind of TV other than reality? I am embarrassed for myself every time my Tivo lineup comes on the screen, and am happier watching some things online because NO ONE KNOWS! It's nice to know there's others out there.

I'm with Formulaic, tell me you have a Tivo! Or DVR. I used to be into reality tv but my addiction to crime drama takes precedence.

Only half with ya on the coffee. I need it every morning but only the good stuff will do! :-)

...you seriously make me want to pee my pants....FUNNY.....and regarding the post above this one....YOU ARE AWESOME. i logged 25 miles running in Jan.....probably shouldn't even mention that! :)

I feel exactly the same way about coffee. Sure, I don't want to drink the shitty stuff, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

The estrogen content on this blog is suffocating. You have to be gay or ovulating to survive here.

I, too, am stuck on certain reality tv shows...have you heard about the new one on Animal Planet? Jockeys?!?! I'm so excited...I nearly bailed on a concert that I'd already paid for to stay home and watch the premiere (this Friday, fyi).
