Who da thunk it?

Who would have thought that stepping on the scale and seeing a gain would be the good part of my day?

Truly, truly disheartening and shit-filled day.

I work hard, I give everything I have and then a glorified bureaucrat (whose fucking car allowance comes out of my [and every other teacher in my district] fucking salary, by the way) decides that my Advanced Placement class' grades are too low, because her friend's child is in my class and has a C- [which was a GIFT, by the way, it should have been a D+], then she starts a campaign to fuck me over. Awesome, truly awesome. I came home from work at 4 pm and slept for 3 and a half hours, not a good sign of mental health.

Moving on.

I have to go in for a AP Biology lab tomorrow (apparently, I go in on Saturdays, because I am such a horrible teacher and delight in crushing the spirit of students. Teenage Soul & spirit crushing IS why I took a pay cut to do this fucking, thankless job.)

Gee, I am not bitter at all.

Anyhoo, this is Take 2 for the Bacterial Transformation Lab. Last time the bacteria did not grow and I had to cancel the lab. Keep your fingers crossed. I will look like a serious ass if this lab doesn't happen again.

My run buddy and I are going for a bike ride after the lab. I am supposed to ride for an hour and a half. I am not really looking forward to it. I just want to ball up and hide.

Okay, I was typing a comment and it just disappeared. Strange.

Anyway, sorry you had such a crap tastic day. How did the bike ride go? I hope your weekend gets better. I'll be thinking of you.

Sorry EP sucks. I'll add this blog to my Google Reader.

First of all Smile and breathe! She's an ASS! And how dare she use her power to influence a grade! Absolutely disgusting! I'm horrified! Give the kid a D+!!! Does anyone care anymore about the youth of this country? We can't just give them a free ride!!! They'll fall flat on their faces if that happens! This country is already fucked up-we don't need a generation that's gotten a free pass!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the bacteria-grow bacteria grow!!!! Did it grow???

And now for the most important aspect of your saturday-how was the bike ride...did it clear up all those nasty cobwebs and thoughts? I sure do hope so!!

You're an awesome teacher who gives way more than any teacher I've met!!! Screw that wench!

Off to sheep herd!!

Man, I am so sorry your day has been so sucky, especially with EP. I haven't been trying to copy & paste lately. I've started a blog here myself - I just need to start posting. I want this one to be more focused on my running.

I hope the bacteria grows...let's see...it's 8:00 am your time now, so you may be in class already.

Take care...it can only get better!!

Hopefully your shitty days and far and few between, sorry you have to deal with stupid parents and crap like that. I mean, they can't be there to bail their kids (and their friends' kids) their whole life?! I hope I never turn into a parent like that.

And as for eating...and losing weight...that is part of the reason I can't decide on Chicago...b/c strangely, weight loss is HARD when you're trianing for a marathon cuz you're so damn hungry all the time.

The bunny cartoon cracked me up! I hate that you had a day of crap - I live with a teacher (7th grade math) so I totally understand how thankless teaching can be. Hope the bacteria grew (who knew I'd ever have a reason to say that to someone?) and that your ride rocked. Mine was in 35 mph gusting winds - which was nerve wracking - but at least outside! Peace.

Hey, I've got a friend heading your way today. He will be there for a few days and is wondering if there are any trails to run and how he can find them. Can you help him out? His blog is Running Through Time which I have a link to on my blog. Any help would be appreciated.
