I scared

I have to go swim around the Santa Cruz Wharf today.

Me no happy.

The really rich part is that I pay to do this shit.

If I get eaten by a shark or taken hostage as a large male sea lion's sex toy, it has been a true pleasure knowing you , my friends.

I still don't know why you gals swim like you do. There are no large male sea-lions on a marathon course.

They may surprise you though, maybe sea-lions are wonderful companions. You'd get to eat a lot of sushi. They probably make many of the same noises that husbands make. They have cute whiskers. All they do is lay around, eat, and well that other thing that they do... much like us men just without the football game on TV.

BTW, Tell Run Buddy that I LOVED the math cartoon in your last post! So geeky I know she was involved!

Just think of the sense of accomplishment you'll feel after the swim. :-)

I often close my eyes except to sight when swimming in open water. If there's something scary in the water, I'd rather not know about it.

Too funny!

I crack up at the fact that we pay to do these things, too, but I guess we get something from it!

Good luck :-)

I confused about sex toy bit... I'm not sure you're making it sound like it's the worst possible way to go.

How long of a swim is it? Is the water cold?

Doesn't sound fun to me but crossing that finish line (your next one at Pac Grove and then IM CDA later next year) will sure be fun.

Go get 'em. Well I'm sure you're back by now so . . . I'm sure you got em! :-)

I do want to enjoy swimming. I just don't. Yet.

Ok - I'm hoping you're home by now! (I'm all cool about Monterey Bay but the biggest group of sharks I've ever seen were in the waters off of Santa Cruz so I scared for you!)
