Off to Barb's Race!

How do you recover from a pretty crappy marathon?

With a half-iron triathlon, of course!

I am off to pick up LA Run Buddy and head up to Barb's Race. You may remember last years Barb's Race was, well, ... let's just say, NOT blazing fast. My goal is to beat last year's time of 9:22:16. Yeesh. I am hoping I can at least handle that.

My back up goal, as always, is to finish the race with a smile and have a fun weekend with my buddy.

Me and LA Run Buddy after Windman Last year

They have athlete tracking. I am almost hesitant to post this since I feel like I still owe a lot of you for the day of your life you will never get back from tracking me at IMCdA, but here it is:

Barb's Race Athlete Tracking

I will post my number when I get it tomorrow.

I hope you all have a FAB weekend!

Okay, now that that's outta the way, let's get down to the serious issues, B*tch. (You don't mind if I call you "B*tch", do you? Or I could call you "R. B*tch", if you prefer. Or "R.B*tch Run" ... etc. You've got the most versatile name since Ray J. Johnson, and I just want to make sure all of these options are open as far as you are concerned because they all okay by me. Plus, this will spare you the trouble of having to say, "O, you doesn't have to call me 'Bitch' ... You can call me 'Run' ..." etc. Which, let's face it, gets tedious fairly quickly.)

Okay, now down to business:

I just noticed that your blog header says you want to lose some of that Junk in Teh Trunk.

WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT, B*TCH?1! Trunk-junk is the best part of Teh B*tch - not just you ... I'm talkin' ANY B*tch! I am not the only one who feels this way! There are many of us Trunk-Junk fans out here.

After a bit of reflection, I would like to revise the sttement above and say that Trunk-Junk is the second best part of Teh B*tch.

But my point is, no one ever says about the FIRST best part, "Gee ... I'd like to lose a little bit of that." Nor should they. You should have the same consideration for your Trunk and its Life-Long Collection of Junk.

Second: Why does your run-buddy's smile look like the kind of smile someone with a gun to her head plasters on her face out of fear of reprisal? What I'm asking, based on that picture, is: Is she really your run buddy? Or your run hostage?

If the latter, I won't think less of you. So be honest.

SECOND!1!

RBR, great way to spend the weekend, but I gotta give a shout-out to Glaven Q. Heisenberg for the gutrenching belly laugh that he provided me today...
(My co-workers are now in my office to see what is so damn funny!)
I've been collecting Trunk-Junk the last 10 years, and my man likes it. He damn well better, cuz now matter how hard I try to clean the junk outta the trunk, it seems to stay full of junk....
Thanks again, GQH for the laugh & good luck RBR...

{Squeal!} You're both so cute and PINK! Seriously, have a great time. I think you'll beat last year's time because you're better trained, but don't get so focused on numbers that you stop having fun. PS: Listen to Glaven about your weight complaints. Although a bit, um, odd and--well let's face it, tangental--he does have a point.

You can turn the world on with your smile RBR. Your fun. Great photo. However, as nice as your friend surely is. I kinda agree with Gaven a tad with your friends smile. I am sure she is lovely and fun though.

Couldn't agree more about the junk in the trunk thing. Do you not look in the mirror with eyes of reality? You just ran a marathon on a really hilly course - however slow. Now you are doing a half tri! If that is junk in your trunk - plaster my butt with some. Good luck to the two of ya!

Yeah running, biking, swimming - how can ya stop. I just tried to do a rest and recovery week - yeah right! Would rather floss with barbwire than take a week off running.
